On day 5 of your 7-day trial you'll receive a reminder email. On day 7, your card is charged for the first billing cycle. If payment fails, you'll get a notification and a grace period to update your card. Cancel any time before day 7 from Profile → Subscription — if you cancel before day 7 you're never charged.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We don't offer automatic refunds — but if you have an unusual circumstance, email billing@emorapath.com and we'll review it on a case-by-case basis. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current billing period.

Upgrades are prorated immediately: you're charged only for the remaining days in your current billing period at the new plan's daily rate, and your next invoice reflects the full new price. Downgrades are not charged right away — your current plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then the lower plan takes over with no prorated refund for unused time. Plan changes are handled through Stripe, so every charge is visible in your billing portal.

Yes. All journal entries, mood data, and personal information are encrypted in transit and at rest using AES-256 encryption. We never sell your data. You can use EmoraPath with just an email address — no real name required.
Go to Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account, or email privacy@emorapath.com. We permanently erase all your data within 30 days. You can also export everything first from Profile → Export Data if you want to keep a copy.
EmoraPath voluntarily follows HIPAA-aligned practices — encrypted storage, access controls, no PHI sharing with third parties. As a wellness platform (not a covered healthcare entity), full HIPAA certification isn't required, but we apply its standards anyway.
